Ten horsepower may not seem like much, but Cornell's team of student engineers created a carbon fiber Baja buggy that has to be driven to be believed. And we did just that.
Buick's working on a new compact car for 2012, and after yesterday's impromptu release of a teaser sketch, our spy shooters have caught the Baby Buick testing across the pond.
The 2009 LA Auto Show might have been devoid of the usual exotica, but the Allard J2X MkII made up for it with this Hemi-powered roadster. With 600 hp and a curb weight of 2,500 pounds, it stole our breathe and scored a top spot on our Best of Show list.

Ford hosted another Driving Skills for Life driving camp in Washington D.C. just before a two-day summit created by the U.S. Department of Transportation on the topic of distracted driving. The connection of the two is a natural.
Although we've seen the Cruze in person before (it's been on sale in Europe and other markets for over six months), its sharp lines, taut headlamps and enlarged grille play Dr. Jekyll to it's rather staid, Mr. Hyde rump. Inside, the two-tone brown and black leather interior is a tremendous improvement over the model it replaces, with an artfully sculpted dash and center stack surrounded by soft touch materials, brushed fauxluminum and a smattering of chrome. Back seat passengers should be equally pleased with the appointments and a 60/40 split bench ups the ante for usability.
